MECHANICAL / DIAGNOSTIC

MECHANICAL & DIAGNOSTICS

Most modern cars are controlled by on-board computers. This means that fuel injectors, spark plugs and other components are told by a computer when to fire and when to move. The best thing to do when a check engine light appears is to bring it to Ali's Motoring. We will run a diagnostic test on your car, truck, or SUV, and once we determine the cause of the issue, we will go over everything with you and tell you exactly what is wrong with your vehicle, and how much it will cost to get your vehicle up and running again.

Check Engine Light Scans

This consists of a scan of your vehicle's on board computer using state of the art equipment to find diagnostic trouble code(s) and descriptions. We use these codes to determine the cause of your check engine light.

OBD2 & 3

The primary purpose of OBD-II is for emissions testing. OBD-II & III are also standardized systems that the on-board computers in cars and trucks use for self-diagnostics and reporting.

Transmissions

A manual transmission is the lightest transmission available and gear changing is solely up to the driver.  An automatic transmission automatically shifts between gears using a torque converter which connects the engine and the transmission.

Engines

There are two different types of engines for cars, trucks, and SUVs: diesel engines and gas engines. All engines have at least four cylinders but can consist of 6, 8 and 12 total cylinders. Our experienced, certified technicians are capable of servicing any engine.

Brakes

Brakes are one of the most important parts of your vehicle. Brakes when, designed and fitted correctly, will make you decelerate in a short amount of time to avoid all types of dangerous road conditions and keep the you and your passengers safe.

Tune Ups

Complete tune ups are recommended to ensure that your vehicle is in working order. Tune ups consist of oil changes, air filter replacements, tire pressure and tread checks, fluid level checks, and front & rear brake pad and rotor checks. We recommend scheduling a tune up once every 3000 miles you put on your car.

Computer Programming
/ Relearning

A vehicle computer is used to monitor all engine transmissions and adjusting the engine accordingly to keep emissions as slow as possible when the car is being operated. Your vehicle's on-board computer monitors the oxygen, air pressure, air temperature, engine temperature, throttle position, and knock sensors.

Tire Pressure Monitoring
System

Tire pressure monitoring systems are used to monitor the air pressure inside the pneumatic tires of all types of vehicles. Tire pressure monitoring systems provide real time tire pressure information to the driver of the vehicle.
